The Catholic Secretariat of the Episcopal Conference of Malawi regrets to announce the death of Fr. Cosmas Maleka of the Diocese of Dedza. Fr. Maleka has passed away today, November 1, 2016 after being involved in motorcycle accident at DzooIe in Ntcheu. He has been confirmed dead by Ntcheu District Hospital. His death has come about due to multiple injuries he has suffered aft...er a head on collision with a minibus which was overtaking other vehicles.
Burial Mass will be on Thursday, November 3, 2016 at Bembeke Cathedral starting from 10.00 am.
Ordination and Ministry:
Ordained a priest at Mtakataka in 2OO8, Father Maleka hailed from Chipoka Parish. Until his death, Father Maleka was serving as Curate at Nzama Parish.
